Hi again,
I just went over to Left of Center's blog and it's been taken away. Do you happen to have Bill's email address? I lost it when my email files were repaired.

Peace to you and yours Kat. I came way of Rage against the Right. I was hoping to see Jeremy had returned. Alas, not.

Nice pics. Portland is one of the few cities that I would ever live in. The last time I was there, I took a whole day and saw a bunch of sights on the "Cultural" bus. For $1.00!
The most surprising place was the Memorial to the fallen who had died in the American - Vietnamese War. It is one of the most serene places I have ever been.

You seem to be inactive. I shut Deep Blade, but have a new blog with many nature photos: Maine Owl. Miss you...

My dear Kathleen,

So kind of you to comment.

I am so happy to know from you that my dear and old friend, Tom Paine, is held in high esteem in Oregon, USA.

But my perception -- sitting here in India and looking at the USA, UK and France on the Internet and through the media -- the picture I get about the response to Tom Paine does not match his huge contributions.

He needs to be far more widely understood and read by the younger generation. That is why, though I am 59, I have taken the trouble to write this piece for the Net-gen.

I am happy that I have found you, too. My blog is a fairly accurate picture of me.

You may also want to have a look at the blog, "Vagabond", of one of my journalism students, Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur. She takes good pictures like you.

Warm regards,
- Joe.
